Allan Tornsberg

  • With over 35 years of dancing experience and several World and European championship titles under his belt, professional dancer Allan Tornsberg is today known to be one of the best educated teacher and choreographer in the world. He is also recognized and well respected as an international adjudicator at major competitions, including the World latin Dance Championships, as well as a Judge in the Denmark version of the international television program Dancing With the Stars since 2006. He is well know for his honest, genuine and sometimes very direct comments on television and has entertained millions of people around the world with his expertise and knowledge. He currently reside in New York City where he coach and teach young talented couples to pursue there dreams of becoming the next world champions.

    After having been a Judge on Danish television in Dancing With the Stars for 5 years, Allan have now decided to sit over this season and instead focus on his business and dance couples in New York. His future plans includes a new exciting entertainment event for dance enthusiasts.

    His love for dancing, and for the Latin American music, has throughout his life been his greatest joy and inspiration. To be able to express the music with his body is the best thing he know. His biggest motivation through his career has been when a man and a woman are able to express the aspect of the Latin American culture through the music.

    Allan believes he was born with a natural love for the Latin music, and he has always sought to bring this fascination into his dancing. The authentic expression, the passion, and the competitive element in dancing, have been the perfect combination for him. He is a tempered person and for that reason the music and the dance have fit his personality well.

    Through the music, the choreography, and the costuming, Allan has had a chance to express his creative sides. He has always valued the importance to emphasize the femininity of his partners. He has listened to the music as well as looked into his partner’s personality and through this, tried to bring a genuine feeling on to the floor.

    Allan’s priorities today are to keep himself happy and well functioning. His home, family and friends are very important to him. Along the way Allan has achieved more serenity and he’s beginning to realize that things will happen if and when they are suppose to. His greatest joys in life are when his projects succeed and he achieves the goals he has worked for. Also he loves to travel around the world and do the things he wants to.

    Basically he thinks life is about love – Give and get –
